ANOTHER KIND of AMERICAN HERO . . . (one behind the scenes)!
AARON JEFFREY BRUTON, "The Engineer"
Mr. Bruton, Chief Engineer of Talk Radio Network (TRN), flew to Iraq to engineer a live talk show broadcast from that area! "Just getting in and out of the area by the brave flight crew of the 130-transport was a memorable and challenging part of the experience ...", WHY, you ask? Cheif Bruton said, "... no, it was NOT mosquitoes! It would have been RPGs or anything else the insurgents could throw at the military while taking of and landing there."Assisted by Host Laura Ingraham, interviews and details not affecting security were able to be made public. Callers could ask questions as well on the horrendous conditions the military and Chief Bruton and his crew had to endure while there; i.e.: scorching heat, "eating sand", etc. He mentioned when asked what the most bizarre event he could recall was "sand vanishing"! No, not disappearing sand, BUT, items vanishing in the sand!! What people little realize is that it only takes an inch or two of sand to "lose" a cable or a vital connector or part and, "...your screwed. It might as well be buried six feet down for all it matters!" ... Wadda they do wadda they do??? Bring out the sieves and metal detectors and hope for the best. He did allude to OTHER classified methods that was revealed to him (YES, he had proper clearance!!) but he could not reveal them to me otherwise he'd have to kill me!
I was very thankful, as an assistant network engineer, to have had Aaron as my supervisor, I.T. tutor, and good friend at TRN!
