A Child’s Prayer (expanded)

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

If I should wake and still be here;
Lord you lead me, I will not fear.
Your angels watched me through the night,
And kept me safe till morning's light.

Another day is mine, don’t hurry;
I pray the Lord I should not worry.
Along the day show me what’s right;
Later, Lord, you watch the night.

That’s when I lay me down to sleep;
And, pray the Lord my soul to keep.
So, if I die before I wake,
I know the Lord my soul will take!

In Jesus Name, Amen.
